Originally, I thought I was going to join YouTube to advertise my business. I run a small commercial roofing business in Houston, Texas, called Commercial Roof Repair Solutions. We specialize in repairs, maintenance, and commercial roof restorations. If your roof is in terrible condition, we’ll even handle the full replacement, though we hope it doesn’t come to that.
The Real Motivation
While preparing to create content for YouTube, I realized that getting in front of the camera wasn’t as easy as I thought. It made me aware of areas I needed to improve on personally. But the brutal honest truth of why I started this channel goes back about a year and a half. This is my Roofing Business Journey.
A Significant Wake-Up Call
I had a pretty large property manager client with properties stretching from Houston to Florida. We were doing good business, but eventually, they didn’t think I could handle all their properties. Losing their business was tough, but it was a wake-up call. I needed to step up my game to secure more work for my team and myself.
Staying Lean and Efficient Being a Houston Roof Specialist
My company is small—just me and 6-10 guys. We keep overhead low and do everything in-house. I buy directly from manufacturers and occassionally subcontract. This efficiency is crucial because it allows us to offer competitive prices and maintain high-quality work.
Competition and Integrity
Losing a job to a company that couldn’t even finish a roof coating project was frustrating. It made me realize that there are too many subpar contractors out there. Seeing jobs poorly done while I strive for excellence was an eye-opener. My team deserves better, and so do our clients.

I’ve been on many roofs where previous contractors took the money and ran, leaving behind unfinished work. This is unacceptable to me. I ensure my team and I deliver top-notch service, and we don’t cut corners. It’s crucial for me to provide the best for my clients and my employees.
